A standing start for our latest Apprentice

Eban Barnard-Smith joins us this week  in the Milling team.  Eban has worked part-time for Cambridge Precision  since leaving school, as he has been studying at Huntingdon Regional College and on placement with Cambridge Precision Ltd, clocking up 300 hours experience in an engineering/manufacturing setting.

“I’ve enjoyed learning new skills over the past 14 months from my colleagues, and I’m really looking forward to learning how the different sections within Cambridge Precision’s Milling Department work together to produce the final product that goes out to our customers.”

As part of Eban’s training, Cambridge Precision has created an extensive internal program that will enable Eban to use all the latest technology, tracking production from initial programming of parts for machining using AlphaCam CadCam, all the way to their final quality checks on the Aberlink Axiom machines. Eban will gain experience with cobots and Cambridge Precision’s array of Haas multi-axis and Doosan DNM machines.  Great to have you on board Eban.
