CPL nominated as National Responsible Business Champion

Cambridge Precision Ltd learnt today that they have been nominated by Huntingdon MP, Jonathan Djanogly for a prestigious parliamentary award.

Each year MPs are invited by the APCRG to identify an outstanding local business which, because of its positive impact in their constituency, deserves to be nominated as their Constituency Responsible Business Champion. A Parliamentary judging panel then considers the companies nominated by MPs against national criteria announced each year by the APCRG and selects one company as the winner of the APCRG National Responsible Business Champion award.

The criteria for the 2019 award are as follows:

  • investing in healthy workplaces;
  • offering apprenticeships and training;
  • promoting diversity & inclusion in the workplace;
  • working to reduce their environmental impact; and
  • working with suppliers & SMEs to support responsible business practice.

“It is tremendous to have been nominated for this award and the efforts of the whole company have resulted in recognition of our commitment to developing a healthy and socially responsible business. Our MP has taken a great interest in the company, in our sustained growth and organisational development and has been open to receiving our comments on how the political environment impacts on trade. It is really positive to see parliamentarians taking a practical and genuine interest in promoting responsible business practices.”  commented Nick Raven, Operations Manager.
