Now with our compliance season in full swing, with 3 great result down, CPL have under gone our toughest challenge yet.
As well as conducting our 3-yearly reassessment to the AS9100 standard, we asked BSi that the assessment to be conducted to the newest revision D of the standard.
I know, we must be mad, but fortunately the 6 ½ day audit went to plan, conducted by BSi, and the team of auditors lead by Martin Thorpe whom is a regular visitor at our premises.
The audit team, had nothing but praise and admiration for all who took part in the audit process, all showed a professional approach and were most helpful, friendly and knowledgeable, which some the staff have never been subjected to this intense “interrogational” pressure before.
Although we gained 4 non-conformities, during this audit, we were delighted to hear that we are still being recommended to the accreditation body AS9100 to conform to the new standard Revision D.
I would like to thank all our staff for their continued support, and with their help in gaining a very prestigious certification at first asking, with the added pressure managing it during our re-accreditation to AS9100, with no re-audit planned to take place.
We must not underestimate what a momentous achievement and milestone we have achieved.
